FREE LOOPS AND SAMPLES FOR MUSIC PRODUCERS & BEAT MAKERS
New producers often find themselves thinking “where can I find free loops and music samples?”. Some sites say they have free samples, but then you find out you have to pay a monthly fee to access them. Some sites have samples that are ‘uncleared’ and could lead to copyright issues.
We have a library of royalty free loops and samples you can use in your beats. All samples were created by our producer and are 100% original compositions. You don’t have to worry at all about using these loops - they’re legit! All samples and loops you hear on this page can easily be imported into FL Studio, Ableton or any DAW you use.
Each loop / sample is encoded in 256kbps mp3 format.
The file names contain information about the key and tempo of the music.
You can click here to download all the loops and samples as WAVs.
SAMPLES AND LOOPS FOR ALL TYPES OF BEATS!
We have music samples that fit all genres. Our free trap sample pack is perfect for that bass-heavy sound - with catchy trap melodies already written, just add 808 drums and you’re set! Similarly, our free hip hop samples just need some gritty hip hop drums and a bassline. And if you make chillout music, our free lofi samples are for you.
These samples are meant to be time-stretched and manipulated! Some loops might sound a bit off at their current tempo, but the real magic comes when you slow them down / speed them up, or pitch them down / pitch them up.
Do professionals use loops?
Yes, some professionals definitely use loops! There was a time where there was a stigma about using loops (especially in the producer / beat-maker community). These days, consensus seems to be shifting.
Your job as a producer is to make great music - everything else comes secondary. Therefore, NOT taking advantage of resources (eg. a great sample or loops) is ultimately a losing mindset. Make the best music you possibly can with the tools and resources available.
Is it bad to use loops as a producer?
While using loops and samples is perfectly acceptable among professionals and amatuers alike, you definitely shouldn’t rely on them as a producer. Loops and samples can only take you so far - eventually you should learn some music theory and write your own melodies / compositions.
What is sampling?
Sampling is when you reuse a portion of another recording for your own song.
The genre of hip hop got its foundation from sampling - early hip hop producers would chop up old funk/soul records and create new compositions with them.
Is sampling illegal?
If you sample a song and don’t “clear” the sample with the copyright holder, then you are potentially infringing on their copyright. While it’s not “illegal” in the sense that you’d go to jail for doing it, you are leaving yourself open to litigation from the copyright holder in the event that the song blows up / makes money.
An example of this is Juice WRLD’s song Lucid Dreams. Because of an uncleared sample/interpolation by producer Nick Mira, Sting successfully sued Juice WRLD and now owns 85% of the publishing rights to that song.
Luckily for you, all loops and samples on this page are royalty free! This means you can use them in your beats and never have to owe royalties to the original composer.
